- The Sandbar at Lake Wylie is located just 3 miles north of the Buster Boyd Bridge. The area can be as shallow as three feet deep. You just have to pull in, find the stop you like and enjoy the fun! During the weekends, you will see many boats including the River Dog who sells convenient style food.
- If you are lucky, you may find the bald eagle resting on his man-made nest near Southpoint Landing.
- Every year on 4th of July, there are two organized fireworks display you can catch. One is at Buster Boyd Bridge and the other at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. You can beam with pride to be an American while you watch these spectacular displays from the boat. Buster Boyd Bridge draws the largest crowd, so get there early to find a great spot!
- Harbortowne Marina is where you would fill up your gas tank and stock up on supplies. Not too far from the launch site at Southpoint Landing, you will be able to swing by the Marina for a cold one before you start your day off. Some evenings on the weekends, you may be able to find a gathering of great friends if you’re lucky.
